The Relevance of The Kingdom (Part One)

The Kingdom Corner Podcast

Host: Matt Geib

This episode begins a new series on The Kingdom Corner. "The Relevance of The Kingdom of God.

[00:02:20] - The relevance of the Kingdom of God

We will begin by defining what God meant in this verse.

[00:02:40] - Psalm 145:10-13 Explanation

10 All Your works shall praise You, O Lord, And Your saints shall bless You.

11 They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, And talk of Your power,

12 To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, And the glorious majesty of His kingdom.13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,And Your dominion endures throughout all [a]generations.

As saints of God we should declare and pronounce the glory of His Kingdom.

[00:04:38] - Matthew 6:10

10 Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Olam (עוֹלָם‎) means hidden or concealed

[00:07:38] - Search for understanding the Kingdom of Heaven

This is the purpose of The Kingdom Corner. We will search and dive into Biblical hermeneutics.

[00:12:15] - The Kingdom of God referenced in a future setting or time.

Revelation 11:15 Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever.”

Revelation 12:10  And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers[a] has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God.

[00:13:17] - I Corinthians 15:23-24 But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. 24 Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power.

[00:14:23] - The Kingdom of God is referenced in our here and here and now

[00:14:41] - Matthew 3:2,“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

Matthew 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

[00:15:33] - Repentance, why repent

It is a change of your mind.

[00:17:47] - Matthew 6:10, Matthew 11:12, Matthew 12:28, Matthew 21:43

[00:19:33] - Luke 17:20-21

[00 :20:15] - Romans 14:17, I Corinthians 4:20

[00:21:03] - Galatians 1:13

Quotes from the Episode:

“By blessing God we begin to produce glory into the world.”  [00:03:46]

“The Kingdom of God, though it’s right there in front of those who will see it, it’s hidden and concealed, it’s not easily found.” [00:06:53]

“There is precedent in scripture for the kingdom of god to refer to that future time in heaven and when everything will come to an end on this earth as we know it.”  [00:13:54]

“Repentance simply means to have a change of mind, to have a change of mind and heart, and then you’ll have the perception to see, it won’t be hidden anymore.” [00:15:36]
